The OnePlus Pad Pro was recently teased in China, signaling its arrival in the region, and today, the flagship tablet has officially been announced. While various specifications will impress us about this slate, the two aspects that stand out are the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and its highly competitive price tag. Various devices powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset usually come with an expensive tag, but on this occasion, the OnePlus Pad Pro bucks the trend.
The starting price of the OnePlus Pad Pro is just $385, but no word if this tablet will launch outside of China
There are currently four configurations of the OnePlus Pad Pro offered in China, but we will get into those details later. First, let us talk about the other specifications, starting with the display. The tablet’s 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel is large enough to deliver ample screen estate, and it is possible to transform the device into a notebook substitute. It also sports a crisp 3K resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate. Despite using an LCD screen to reduce costs, the OnePlus Pad Pro is 6.49mm thick and weighs in at 584 grams.

The company also revealed the Smart Stylus Pro, claiming that it gives the feeling that the user is interacting with a real pen and writing on paper. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the OnePlus Pad Pro becomes one of the most powerful tablets around, but that title might be for a limited time period, as Samsung is rumored to employ the Dimensity 9300+ in its upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 Plus. One reason the OnePlus Pad Pro launched with a Qualcomm SoC is that the company would have an easier time selling it in the U.S.
Unfortunately, OnePlus has not confirmed if the slate will launch overseas, though we certainly have our fingers crossed for its arrival. As for the pricing, it is remarkable that even with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 outfitted in the OnePlus Pad Pro, the starting price is 2,799 yuan, or $385, with the rest of the specifications including 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for the base model. The top-end version will retail for 3,699 yuan, or $508.9, and ship with 16GB RAM paired with 512GB of onboard memory. We expect to learn more about this product in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
