Deion Sanders has always been charged with overdoing it on social media as far as his recruitment strategy is concerned. But for a change, Coach Prime does not have to stress over the endorsement part as the Buffaloes’ two-star phenom comes to Coach Prime’s rescue. Going by the leaked cover of the EA Sports College Football, fans have been indeed startled.
The trio on the video game cover features, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Texas’s Quinn Ewers, and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards. Yes, you read that right, Shedeur Sanders’ luck did not favor this time. But not to worry as Deion Sanders can turn this heartbreak in favor of the program.

College Football 25 from EA Sports has just dropped a really cool-looking cover for the deluxe edition that fans are going crazy about. Featuring a very expensive Heisman edition, the only face from Colorado is that of Travis Hunter. With this, the Buffaloes star will be the face of the college program. Overcoming the disappointment of Shedeur not getting a breakthrough, Coach Prime can channel his focus into doing something constructive.

Till now all they endorsed was having the best faces in college along with the player who is a two-way phenom. As pointed out on the Locked on Buffs podcast, Buffaloes “will have the opportunity to be advertised, viewed as the biggest thing in college football…be on the cover of a video game. Doesn’t happen very often and so for Travis Hunter to be on both the deluxe and standard edition of the cover is a big deal for Colorado”.

Even before the cover got exposed before the official release, it was former offensive guard, Matt McChesney who predicted that Hunter would be the one to feature. On the Zero 2 Sixty podcast, McChesney confidently stated, “I did say Travis Hunter was going to be on the cover of NCAA 24. I’m not saying I know everything but I know more than y’all.” This brings up the analysis of Shedeur not standing a chance in front of Hunter.
Hunter vs Shedeur tussle
Based on the attention that the game gathered last season, the Buffaloes are one of the many teams with a heavy fan percentage. For months, people have been bent on trying to pin the two potential Heisman trophy winners, Shedeur and Travis against each other. But going by the speculation and the leaked picture, it can be assumed that only one of the two will feature on the cover. Pointing out the reason behind the inclination that Hunter received, McChesney revealed what must be playing in the minds of the fans.

In his podcast, the former offensive guard asserted, “People aren’t going to just be buying the game because Prime and Shedeur on the cover there’s going to be a lot of people that don’t buy the game because they’d be on the cover. The hate is real out there.” On the other hand, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound athlete becomes the first Buff to earn first-team All-American honors since 2010 against the heavy sack record made by Shedeur.
Whether he’s scoring touchdowns offensively or sticking the opposition’s top wideout, Hunter is going to get some serious burn on the fans’ gaming setups. In this case, Travis Hunter will be Deion Sanders’ trump card whose appearance on the EA Sports College Football 2025 cover will uplift the face value of the Colorado Buffaloes program.
