Anthony Rizzo is just the latest in the sports world to celebrate Taylor Swift’s album release.
Swift’s new double album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” is already out to much acclaim, to the surprise of no one.
It’s already making waves in the sports world, even beyond her boyfriend, Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, and those adjacent to the Kelce family.
And Rizzo, the Yankees first baseman, also showed his support of the new music by wearing a Swift hoodie while heading into Yankee Stadium on Friday before the Bronx Bombers took on the Rays.

It’s not the first time Rizzo has referenced Swift, as he credited the pop sensation with a big day at the plate last summer, where he went 4-for-4 with a home run in a win over the Royals after he had been in a hitting slump that had lasted over two months.
In that game he had used “… Ready For It?” as his walk-up song.
“Taylor Swift, it’s her summer, really. She’s helping the economy every city she goes,” Rizzo joked last July.
Going into the Yankees’ Friday night game with Tampa Bay, Rizzo was hitting .240 on the season.

The three-time All-Star, who is in his fourth season as a Yankee, was limited to 12 home runs and 41 RBIs through just 99 games last season.
The Yankees entered Friday night’s first pitch at 13-6 on the season.
