So why is the Anker 735 charger my go-to for travel? Well, it’s pretty simple, really. This is a 65W charger that is smaller than a lot of 30W chargers. Well, how can that be? Simple. This is a Gallium Nitride or GaN charger. Gallium Nitride has started to replace the Silicon inside of chargers because it uses less space and keeps the charger cooler. Anker says that it is about 53% smaller than other 65W chargers, which I can attest too.
On top of that, there are three ports available on this charger. There are two USB-C ports that max out at 65W and a USB-A port that can do up to 22.5W. It’s great for travel because I can plug in my 3-in-1 MagSafe charger into one port, a USB-C cable for my Galaxy S24 Ultra in another port, and not even need to use the USB-A, but it is there in case I need to charge my camera’s batteries.
