After repeatedly showing a supercut of the former president “stammering and staggering” over the weekend, the MSNBC host suggested Trump’s money problems are also “crushing’ him.
MSNBC “Way Too Early” host Jonathan Lemire got the ball rolling by pointing out to the panel Trump’s loss to former Gov. Nikki Haley in the Washington D.C. primary on Sunday.
“He lost. Yes, it was in the Washington , D.C. primary, but he took a defeat,” Lemire continued. “We have seen him in other states not put up the numbers his team would have liked, Haley putting up a bigger share of the vote than you’d expect when Trump is running as an incumbent.”

“This incumbent just lost a primary,” he emphasized. “Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, three weeks from today, a Donald Trump criminal trial starts. That is uncharted territory for any presidential candidate that is clearly weighing on this one. We simply do not know how that will impact him going forward.”
“Well, let me also say — and Mika [Brzezinski] and I have known him for a long time understand, of all the things that are weighing on him, it’s the crushing realization that he may have to start selling some of his real estate because he doesn’t have the money to pay the [appeals] bond,” Scarborough interjected. “That’s what is crushing him the most.”
