The Sebewaing community cruised down Main St. Thursday evening for the Son’s Life Missionary Church Car Cruise event.
As part of the church’s vacation bible school conclusion, the food-truck-themed event was a big hit. Coney Guys and Taste of Bay City food trucks came out, serving tacos and more for everyone to enjoy.
The Son’s Life Missionary Church in Sebewaing had a Food Truck Party VBS from July 10-13, with a goal to fill a semi and sponsor a food truck pantry giving food to those in need in conjunction with their vacation bible school theme. The goal was $1,200 and the total raised was $1,412, with just under 50 kids registered among the 4 days.

“Thanks so much for coming out to the car cruise tonight,” said event coordinator Jodi Smith. “We had one last year which was a successful turnout- this year we chose to combine the car cruise with the ending of our VBS because we knew we wanted food trucks to come and we wanted to make it worth their trip. They both said at the end of the night that they were blown away by the outcome- as were we. Sebewaing really showed up this week!”
