Erin Andrews on ‘awesome’ new Fox team of Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen

Erin Andrews knew she wouldn’t be going back to sleep after that 6 a.m. call in May.
The Fox Sports reporter, 44, who endured an “emotional” offseason after saying farewell to her longtime colleagues, the new “Monday Night Football” duo of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck, had just received word she would be gaining a co-worker in Tom Brady, whenever he decides to hang up his cleats — again.
Andrews knew she “needed to sweat” and hopped on her Peloton to digest the news, only to have a unique encounter with the Buccaneers quarterback in her workout space.
“My husband [former NHL star Jarret Stoll] and Tom are friends. He’s been so great to my husband and I off the field and he signed a [Buccaneers] jersey for my husband after he won the Super Bowl with Tampa, and so my husband got it framed and put it in our office slash workout room,” Andrews recently told The Post.

“As I was on the Peloton and thinking about what was happening, just kind of looked over and was like, ‘Oh, here’s my new co-worker’s jersey,’ so I just took a video [Instagram story] of it.”
With Brady’s official Fox Sports debut T.B.D., Andrews is very much focused on the present and her new crew of Kevin Burkhardt and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen.
“It’s been awesome. I’m laughing because that’s really what I do a lot of with this crew,” said Andrews, who has been part of Fox Sports’ lead NFL team since 2014.
Andrews has known Burkhardt, 48, for several years and covered Olsen, 37, throughout much of his 14-season career in the NFL, which included stops with the Bears, Panthers, and Seahawks.

“It was funny, he was always one of the guys that I went up to on the field and kind of bugged for a bit, ask if I could get some info from him, and he was just always very sarcastic, self-deprecating, hilarious, great answers,” Andrews said. “He’s just so funny, we sit and laugh all the time.”
Beyond her duties at Fox, Andrews also co-hosts the weekly “Calm Down” podcast with fellow Fox Sports personality Charissa Thompson, where the two discuss current happenings in their lives and the sometimes terrifying travel mishaps.
“We both have so many stories to tell from our week of travel,” Andrews said.
In fact, Andrews experienced quite the flight in Week 2 when she overheard some passengers playing a rousing late-night game of “Heads Up,” which is when one participant holds up a mobile device to their head while fellow players provide clues from a specific category in order to arrive at the correct answer.
“They didn’t mute their phone, so the phone was counting down and then the massive ring was happening and they were like, ‘Llama! Giraffe! Elephant!’ and just yelling,” she said. “I feel like that’s really kind of the basis of our podcast right now, our travel adventures and the stuff we’re just blown away seeing in public.”
Though the past year has been filled with changes, one of the most exciting transitions for Andrews has been the MLB expansion of her WEAR by Erin Andrews womenswear line ahead of the 2022 postseason.
“I’m really, really proud of my team, it’s been awesome. I just saw and tried on our clothes for next season, and we can’t pick everything, and we tried to pick the ones we didn’t want and I couldn’t pick any of them,” Andrews said.
WEAR, which is available at NFLShop.com and Fanatics.com, made its debut in 2019 with NFL-centric gear. Since then, the line has expanded to the NBA, NHL, and NCAA. For Andrews, though, her “pinch-me” moment with the brand took place at the Packers’ Pro Shop following a Week 1 sit-down with Aaron Rodgers.

“Their pro shop is one of the end-all, be-alls. I honestly think it’s kind of like the Magic Kingdom in terms of pro shops,” she said of the Green Bay establishment. “I went in after my sit-down with Aaron and I couldn’t help but just skip and run around. To see our stuff hanging up and being like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s so cute!’”
With new pieces for the season now popping up online, Andrews continues to look ahead to see how WEAR can grow in the years to come.
“We’re just so excited to try to figure out how to expand and kind of take over in this world,” she said.
