Dead Reckoning Is The Biggest Mission: Impossible So Far
A fight on top of a train isn’t the only big action sequence that will be featured in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Footage from CinemaCon in April revealed the upcoming Mission: Impossible sequel’s 20-minute Italian car chase sequence. The length of the car chase teases just how big the movie will be, opening the door for other spectacular action scenes the franchise is known for.
Cruise is also expected to do incredible stunts that will add to the high-octane nature of the movie. The official poster for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One sees Cruise in freefall above a motorcycle, an event that is also teased in the film’s trailer. With Cruise involved in a car chase, a motorcycle freefall, and a fight on top of a train all in one movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One could be the most action-packed in the series.
If the first of the expected final Mission: Impossible films is already filled with death-defying stunts, then it will be interesting to see how Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two tries to increase the exhilaration next year. Given the current palette of action and stunt work in the first part, it may be difficult for the follow-up to top what’s been shown. For now, though, it’s clear Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be a thrilling first part to Ethan Hunt’s curtain call.
