Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian’s Empowering Reaction to Howard University’s Swim Team as They Aim to Create History

American tennis legend Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian are huge advocates of inclusiveness in sports. Coming from a minority background, Serena herself faced various challenges. In a predominantly white sport, the 41-year-old carved a name for herself.
While Serena did it in tennis, there are many other sports where young athletes from distinct backgrounds face challenges. Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian also understands the issue and does his best to provide opportunities to the underrepresented community athletes. Recently, the American lauded one such approach from the Howard University swimming coach.

Although we have seen many prominent athletes from the African-American community recently, there are many underprivileged ones too. To bridge the gap of opportunity and give a beautiful message to society, Howard University’s swimming coach Nic Askew created an all-black swimming team. The team is currently the center of attraction and is making headlines in the country.
Meanwhile, the Reddit cofounder also came across an article from Sports Illustrated regarding the same. The 39-year-old was quick to extend his support for the team. Sharing the news on his Twitter account, Ohanian wrote, “Keep going”
