The world of golf is aware of the affluent side of Tiger Woods. Though his accolades are what make him stand out from the rest in the field, his business endeavors are also something to be talked about. Tiger once shared the details of his restaurant on Jupiter Island, which according to the golfer portrays his personality.
In 2015, Woods celebrated his 40th birthday. Ahead of his joyful day, the 15-time Major winner was interviewed by Time Magazine. During an in-depth conversation, the golfer had plenty to share including details on his $8 million worth ‘Sports Bar’. Let’s take a look at what the Hall of Famer had to say.
Tiger Woods is not a fan of other sports bars

In the interview, Woods was asked about his injuries, his relationship with then-girlfriend Lindsey Vonn, and much more. Nonetheless, the interviewer then asked Tiger about the venue of the interview, which was a sports bar named after the legendary golfer himself, The Woods Jupiter.

Woods then shared the idea behind his restaurant endeavor. “I live just up the road, and my kids are just south. I have to drive 25 or 30 minutes south to get to a nice restaurant”. The then soon to be 40 year old decided to start a restaurant business, as he said, “Let’s do something that’s different and that’s never been done in the area”.
He added, “Let’s create a sports bar, but not so high end that it’s suits and stuffy”. Tiger further shared how he hates going to a place where you’re supposed to wear a sports coat. “I hate that”, said Woods. The Hall of Famer then shared his choice of comfort in a sports bar.

“Comfortable enough where you can wear flip-flops, which I like”, said Tiger. He ended by claiming that his restaurant is much similar to himself by stating, “That’s how I want it to be, and that’s how I am. I’m just chill”. Undoubtedly, Tiger Woods is quite chill. The only time he gets hyper is during the 18th hole of the final round of any professional event.

The Woods Jupiter is now Tiger’s flagship restaurant. The Billionaire spent a reported $8 million for the commencement of his business. Whether it’s his feats in sports, or his behavior, the Hall of Famer is not your usual golfer. Perhaps it could be one of the main elements because of which he reached the pinnacle of the sport.
