Disney Cruise Line’s refund policy has been quite flexible when it comes to guests who test positive for COVID-19. However, that policy will change this Friday.
For sailings booked on or after December 9, guests who test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of their sail date can receive a refund in their original form of payment without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or apply their cruise fare toward a future sail date. The 14-day flexible refund policy will still be applicable, but it only applies to reservations booked before December 9, 2022.
Regardless of when the sailing was booked, travel insurance and cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers, including airlines, are not refundable. Guests cannot change their reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of this policy.
Qualifying COVID-19-related health concerns include Guests who:
Have symptoms of COVID-19
Have a temperature of 100.4°F or greater
Have had known exposure to a person with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days
Have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of sail date
When applying the cruise fare toward a future sail date:
New sail date is subject to availability
If an offer was used to book the original sail date, it may not be available or applicable to the new sail date; offer terms and conditions will apply, including blockout dates
Guests cannot change their reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of this policy
Once on board, guests who are subject to mandatory quarantine or who test positive for COVID-19 will receive a pro-rated voucher for a future cruise or a pro-rated refund.
