Colorado lost its opener to Georgia Tech but bounced back last Saturday to defeat Delaware 31-7. The Buffaloes had three different quarterbacks — Kaidon Salter, Ryan Staub and Julian Lewis — take the field in the win. Staub, who is the team’s third-string quarterback, had the most success, completing 7 of 10 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
This will be their first conference game for both teams this season. The Cougars earned decisive victories in their season opener against SFA as well as last weekend’s matchup with Rice. Quarterback Conner Weigman had 188 yards and one touchdown and running back Dean Connors rushed for two touchdowns in the win.
Following tonight’s matchup, the Buffaloes will return home to host Wyoming, while the Cougars travel to Oregon State.
