Tom Cruise celebrated his spectacular Olympic Stadium stunt with a shoutout that has been viewed 10 million times on social media.
The Top Gun: Maverick star, 62, jumped from the roof of the Stade de France in a dramatic appearance at the closing ceremony of The Games on Sunday. H.E.R. performed on guitar during the scene after singing the American national anthem to signify the handover from Paris to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Once safely on the ground, Cruise was greeted by athletes as he made his way to the stage. Olympic gymnast Simone Biles—the most decorated gymnast in history—then handed over the Olympic flag, which he loaded onto the back of his motorcycle.
Cruise drove off into a prerecorded video that showed his journey from Paris to L.A.
