As people continue to endure packed flights and soaring prices brought on by post-pandemic “revenge travel,” a new report highlights the best times to snag holiday deals.
Google Flights has compiled a computer-driven analysis that shows which days are the best for booking flights at certain holidays, differentiating between Christmas, Thanksgiving and certain destinations.

Starting with the November holiday, the insights show that the cheapest domestic prices typically appear 45 days prior to Turkey Day and that other quality deals are usually found between 26 to 59 days away.
This year, that 45th day away will be Monday, Oct. 14, as Thanksgiving lands on Nov. 28.

As for Christmas, the most holly-jolly chance for a cheap flight is 58 days prior on Oct. 28, with a good deal range between 36 to 72 days ahead.
And anyone trying to get a jump on spring break should hold their horses, the analytics show.
Trips in March or April are best booked 44 days before travel and have a low price zone between 33 to 59 days.

When it comes to traveling to Europe, no matter what the timeframe of the year, booking 94 days ahead is optimal, and anything 50 days or further from takeoff is promising for low costs.
As for travel to Mexico and the Caribbean, 44 days is the magic number with a larger cheap flight trend between 26 to 68 days out.
