Travelers will have an additional sailing option when a new cruise terminal opens in Philadelphia in the spring.
The PhilaPort Cruise Terminal is set to offer 41 sailings a year to Bermuda, other Caribbean destinations and Canada starting on April 15, 2026, officials announced on Wednesday.
The 16-acre site next to Philadelphia International Airport in Tinicum Township, Delaware County was previously known as Hog Island Dock Terminal Facility.
PhilaPort will handle marine improvements; Norwegian Cruise Line is building the terminal.
The Port of Philadelphia says the terminal will produce more than 2,100 direct and indirect jobs and trigger $300 million annually in economic activity.
The seven-year agreement will run from April 15, 2026 through March 31, 2033.
Philadelphia had a port for cruise ships until 2011.
The nearest cruise terminals to Philadelphia are in Bayonne, New York and Baltimore.
