The king of the Buffaloes bellows hard on a CBS reporter for unknown reasons. The media and the press have been especially hard on the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion specifically, but while the HC manages to keep his cool in most of these situations, he had quite the anger to dish out toward a reporter from CBS. Ever since he stepped into the ring as the HC for Colorado, doubts and mockery have been Deion’s daily breakfast and this is seemingly one of those incidents where the volcano just erupted. Deion Sanders, the coach we all love, continues to be in the public spotlight yet again, through fault or none of his own.
During the SEC Media Days, Deion was being bombarded by questions from the reporters in front of him. While he usually tends to be quite rapid with his answers and moving on to the next question, he immediately put a halt over the segment as soon as he heard the name of ‘CBS’ from the reporter with the query. Coach Prime refused to take a question from that reporter and went on to belittle other reporters in the room during the entire press conference. The coach, who is usually known for his friendliness and the love-thy-neighbor mentality, is now being termed as a bully on the internet, though it might not be his first time.

What’s your reaction? Is Deion Sanders being unfairly snubbed by CBS Sports? React! Reactions
During the 12th August episode of the ‘Next Round’ show, hosts Ryan Brown and Jim Dunaway took to the mic and dissected the recent behavior of Deion Sanders that has had the entire community flabbergasted. Dunaway gave his thoughts on the episode and compared the Colorado HC to Nick Saban and acknowledged the former Alabama coach’s personality for answering all types of questions, even if that meant a bit of yelling at the reporters. He said, “That is, that is, that’s bush league, that’s bush league to do that. And listen, you can go back to Nick Saban yelling and ranting at the local media. All you want, the guy always would answer a question. From anybody. When you got called on, I don’t care what your affiliate had ever done to him AL.com or whatever, he may have yelled, but he would answer the question.” Thus, Deion’s attitude at the press conference is being called out for condescension and disrespect but he’s issued a cryptic statement following the backlash, which somewhat addresses his reasons for being outlandish.
Peace is the goal, says Deion Sanders in response
There are no official reports as to what CBS did to enrage Deion to such an extent but it is clear that the head coach isn’t sitting too right with criticism. The entirety of the press conference saw Deion either shutting down or dodging questions that raised concerns over his team or the controversies that surrounded him. Soon enough, it became evident that Deion was only interested in engaging with the reporters who had nothing but pleasant words for him, making it a subjective press conference in its absolution.
Later, Deion took to X to share his feelings about the situation that is stirring up waves against him and his personality, through a cryptic tweet that didn’t directly address the conference. He wrote, “We must understand who we are and the gifts that we possess. Stop allowing people to misuse & consequently abuse u. Don’t lash out & lose control but stand up for u & those that are consistently targeted with wisdom & a spirit of reconciliation. Peace is the goal. #CoachPrime” Peace might be the goal but stepping over reporters who are just doing their jobs shouldn’t be the process. Coach Prime, who is a mentor and an inspiration to millions, is rarely portrayed in a negative light. However, after what happened at the SEC Media Day, he has created a storm against himself and will need to find a way to navigate out of it soon.
