San Francisco Giants star Jung-Hoo Lee was detained by US Customs and Border Protection at LAX Wednesday after forgetting travel documents according to a report.
Lee was stopped by the feds after flying into the Los Angeles airport from South Korea, the San Francisco Standard reported.
The 27-year-old outfielder was traveling to California for a Giants FanFest event, according to the report.
San Francisco Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s office said it was working with federal officials to secure his release, the outlet reported.
Spring Training for the Giants begins in Scottsdale in three weeks.
