A man working at San Francisco International Airport was killed on the job on Sunday, Jan. 18, after an accident with a cargo pallet.
John Brandon Lacayanga, 28, was working on a vehicle service road between Terminal 3 and the International Terminal Boarding Area G, SFO spokesperson Doug Yakel said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. He was believed to be towing a cargo pallet, Yakel said.
Around 7 p.m., San Francisco Firefighters responded to an accident report and found Lacayanga deceased underneath the cargo pallet. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) arrived at the scene that same night to interview his employer, Dubai National Air Travel Agency (DNATA), SFO said, according to CBS San Francisco.
