Royal Caribbean Launches 2027 Alaska Cruises

A Royal Caribbean “bucket list” cruise is now open for booking—and travel advisors are saying it’s one of the “best they’ve ever taken.”
Beginning in summer 2027, travelers will have more ways than ever to explore Alaska’s wild beauty aboard Anthem, Quantum, Serenade and Voyager of the Seas. Seven-night sailings will depart from Seattle, Seward and Vancouver, with new multi-night Cruisetour options that combine land and sea for a deeper look at The Last Frontier.
Early access opened to Crown & Anchor Society members, but general bookings are now officially live. From whale watching in Sitka to meeting sled dogs near Juneau, these itineraries consistently earn high marks from passengers for their unmatched views and activities.
And when you’re not out spotting glaciers or eagles, there’s plenty to do on board—like taking in the view from the North Star glass capsule, skating at SeaPlex or simply watching the coastline drift by.

What are Royal Caribbean Alaska Sailings Like?
All four 2027 sailings offer adventure-packed itineraries—each with a slightly different twist. From glacier viewing to charming port towns, here’s what you’ll find on each boat:
On Anthem of the Seas, guests can embark on seven-night journeys from Vancouver or Seward, taking in picture-perfect stops like Skagway and Ketchikan, plus sweeping views of Hubbard Glacier.
Onboard, passengers will revel in the North Star observation capsule, SeaPlex (home to bumper cars and roller skating) and plenty of dining—from Mediterranean-inspired plates at Solarium Bistro to all-American classics at Johnny Rockets.
For the first time, Anthem cruisers can add Cruisetour experiences, including multi-night land expeditions to Denali National Park with expert guides or riding in glass-domed rail cars that showcase panoramic views of Alaska’s wilderness.
Quantum of the Seas will return to Alaska after a season in Australia, offering seven-night sailings from Seattle to Juneau, Sitka and Skagway. Travelers can kayak along glassy bays, spot sea otters near the shoreline or take in a glacier from the deck. When it’s time to relax, there’s the FlowRider surf simulator, open-air movie nights and family-style dinners at Jamie’s Italian, Chops Grille or Izumi.
From Vancouver, Serenade of the Seas explores Alaska’s Inside Passage, calling on Sitka, Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan. Between glacier views, guests can climb the ship’s rock wall, catch a movie under the stars, or unwind to live music at Schooner Bar.
And for those sailing from Seattle, Voyager of the Seas offers a seven-night itinerary that includes Juneau, Skagway and the breathtaking Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Onboard, travelers can switch between high-energy fun and laid-back luxury—whether that means a round of mini golf, laser tag with the family or a quiet soak in the adults-only Solarium.

The Best Royal Caribbean Alaska Cruise, According to Travel Advisors
Travel advisor Britney from Britney Travels calls Royal Caribbean’s Alaska cruises “amazing” and her family voted it the best trip they’ve ever taken.
Her recommendation? Sailing out of Seward to Vancouver, British Columbia. “You’re really going to get the most bang for your buck. This is going to maximize all your ports of call and your views. When you’re sailing out of Alaska, you’re just in it,” she says.
Bookings for all four ships just opened today and Britney suggests looking into it now, especially if you want a specialty room, such as a particular type of suite, connecting rooms, a certain deck or an unobstructed balcony.
Britney recommends Anthem of the Seas, Ovation and Quantum of the Seas, thanks to their onboard activities, including its kid-friendly sportsplex, arcades, indoor/outdoor pool and indoor adults-only Solarium.
Can’t think that far ahead? There may be options left to sail in 2026, too.
