Rosie O’Donnell‘s friendship with Tom Cruise has stood the test of time—and she’s got the holiday cards to prove it.
The former talk show host took to Instagram on Friday (Dec. 19) to reveal that Cruise had sent her a Christmas card, just one of many that he’s had delivered over the past three decades that the pair have known each other.
“Dear Rosie, Warmest wishes to you this holiday season,” the card read, which was signed Tom Cruise.

In the caption, O’Donnell reflected on their friendship, writing, “never misses a christmas or my birthday- thank u tom ❤️ – merry christmas to u #30yearsstrong❤️”
Her comments were flooded with messages from fans and friends, including comedian Patton Oswalt, who questioned whether O’Donnell had received Cruise’s famous coconut cake that he sends out every year. While O’Donnell didn’t reveal what was included with the card, she has previously been mailed the cake.
“my tommy sent me a coconut cake !! i love that guy,” she wrote in an Instagram post back in 2022.
O’Donnell has known Cruise since the ’90s and he even appeared on the final episode of The Rosie O’Donnell Show in 2002. Although she admits the pair aren’t incredibly close, O’Donnell says she appreciates his thoughtfulness.
“He is the only person who never misses my birthday. In knowing him for 25 years now, he has never missed my birthday or an event in my life,” O’Donnell explained on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show in 2021.
