Jake Paul is a man of talent. He can do it all, whether it’s making content on YouTube, starring on the silver screen, or pulling punches in the squared circle. But it seems he has another talent under his sleeve. The American boxer also knows how to kick a football and make a run on the football field. It won’t be long before the fans might witness him taking the field with a puffed jersey, guards, and a helmet.
Paul, 27, has played football throughout his life, and he remains an ardent NFL fan. He never fails to miss a game. But what he saw this time on the field left him frustrated. The Cleveland native was watching the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, the first of its clash, as the NFL made its debut on Brazilian soil.
However, the quality of the game didn’t sway Paul, at 10-1, who then turned to his X handle to express his frustration about the game. The first quarter saw little action, with the Packers dominating it with a scoreline of 6-0. Paul wrote, “And this game proves why it’s going to be easy for me to go to the NFL😊.” He then continued and listed the reasons.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the YouTuber-turned-boxer has expressed his desire to make a run in the NFL. Back in 2022, he disclosed his willingness to switch to the NFL. Paul declared on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, “I want to go to the NFL after this. Legitimately just to play safety and deck people. I swear to God… I can run a 4.3 40, I have the size, the speed, and the power. So why can’t I play free safety?”

Before making such a switch, Paul faces the mammoth task of conquering Mike Tyson this November, with his professional record on the line. But the fight is not without its criticism.
Jake Paul slammed for not keeping Mike Tyson’s interest
Eddie Hearn explained to the Daily Mail that everyone involved in the fight didn’t have the best interest of Tyson, 58, in their hearts. He said, “Anyone that thinks that [Mike Tyson] should be in the ring right now either doesn’t have his best interests at heart or is an idiot… You honestly think that a fighter that was shot to pieces 20 years ago should now be coming back?”

There have been concerns about ‘Iron Mike’s age and health, especially after suffering from stomach ulcers, which pushed their fight to the current date. It also remains to be seen whether they’ll engage a backup fighter, in case either of the two pulls out at the last moment.
