No, not that Stanley Cup.
Popular cup brand Stanley announced a recall of its Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs after it received multiple reports of burn injuries related to the products.
Stanley announced the recall of more than 2.6 million cups on Thursday. The lids of the Switchback and Trigger Action “can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard,” the recall notice said.
Stanley received 91 reports around the world of Switchback and Trigger Action lids detaching while in use, according to the recall notice. Of those 91 reports, the company said, 38 resulted in burn injuries. Two of those burns were in the United States, according to the recall notice.
