Margaritaville at Sea is coming to Miami.
The cruise line’s newest ship, Beachcomber, will sail from the world’s cruise capital when it makes its debut in 2027. The South Florida city will be the company’s third homeport, following Palm Beach and Tampa.
“In just a few short years, we’ve gone from one ship and one itinerary to three homeports, three distinct ships, and over 25 amazing Ports of Indecision throughout the Caribbean,” Christopher Ivy, the cruise line’s CEO, said in a news release. “The arrival of Beachcomber in PortMiami is the next big chapter in our growth, giving our guests greater accessibility, more horizons to explore, and more time to unwind.”
Where will Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber sail?
The ship will offer Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises to ports like St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and more. The sailings will range from four to eight nights long.
What is Margaritaville at Sea like?
I sailed on the Margaritaville at Sea Islander ship in 2024. The former Costa Cruises ship featured a Margaritaville makeover with beachy decor like palm trees in the main dining room, fish-print curtains in my cabin and nods to Jimmy Buffett throughout the vessel. Some were subtle (such as a sign on the wall with the lyrics to his song “Lovely Cruise”) while others were less so (like the multiple flip-flop art pieces featuring the musician’s face).
With pool areas, flashy stage shows and margaritas aplenty, the vessel came equipped with everything guests needed for a fun, sunny getaway.
Beachcomber, which is also a former Costa ship, will be the largest in Margaritaville’s fleet at over 100,000 gross tons, accommodating around 3,450 guests. The ship will feature more than 15 new venues, along with passenger favorites like Cheeseburger in Paradise and the Hemisphere Dancer lounge.
How much do the cruises cost?
Cruises aboard Beachcomber currently start at $349 per person based on double occupancy, including taxes and fees, and are now available to book. Fares include most meals, live entertainment and more.
