Kwik Trip introduces electric vehicle charging program

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) – The program will include a mobile app that shows charger availability, pricing, and charger locations along a customer’s route of travel.
A news release from the company on Sept. 30 announced the Kwik Charge program, saying that it’s “coming to a strategic number of its stores across the Midwest.” The program will provide direct current fast chargers (DCFCs) to guests traveling in electric vehicles in the region.
The program will include connectors for Combined Charging Standard (CCS) and the North American Charging Standard (NACS), “allowing drivers of almost any electric vehicle to charge a safe, clean and staffed 24/7 location.”
The chargers will offer a minimum of 150 kilowatts of power when four vehicles or plugged in or up to 400 kilowatts of power for a single vehicle.
The news release says that rates for charging vehicles will vary, but a standalone mobile app will allow guests to see charger availability, pricing, and find charger locations along their route of travel.
