The Columbia Central boys basketball team opened the 2025-26 season with a 55-48 win over Hillsdale.
David Munro had 14 points for the Golden Eagles. Conor Rentfrow added 13. Nolan Schiel and Dylan Penix each scored seven and Trent Troyer added six.
Riley Slabaugh, Thayden Welch and Brooks Beckman each scored 10 for the Hornets.
Jonesville 64, Arbor Prep 39: A 31-point second quarter helped the Comets pull away for a season-opening win.
After the two teams were tied 12-12 after one, Jonesville raced out to a 43-25 lead by halftime.
Caleb Blonde had 13 points, seven assists and five steals for Jonesville. Cameron Moore had 12 points. Reese Rundquist added 11 and Kaleb Males and Ian Doyle each scored 10.
Bath 46, Napoleon 39: The Bees topped the Pirates in their season opener.
Tyler Nall led Napoleon with 12 points, six rebounds and two steals. Gavin Davis had 12 points, three rebounds and three assists. Tristen Russell had seven rebounds. Mason Preece added six points.
Michigan Center 60, Lenawee Christian 42: The Cardinals got the new season off to a strong start with a 21-point first quarter launching them towards a win over Lenawee Christian.
Michigan Center led 21-6 after one, 38-17 at halftime and 50-25 after three.
Jayden Watson had 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Hadyn Hinkle added 14 points.
