Both teams enter this game with a winning record, the Cardinals at 6-5 and the Vikings at 9-2. The Cardinals are second in a convoluted NFC West this season, tied with the Seattle Seahawks who are also 6-5.
Arizona is coming off a heartbreaking defeat, as it fell 16-6 to Seattle last week in what was a crucial outing for playoff positioning. Quarterback Kyler Murray struggled for Arizona in the matchup, connecting on 24 of 37 passes for 285 yards but with no touchdowns and one interception.

Now, he faces an even tougher test this week as the Vikings, led by defensive coordinator Brian Flores, boast one of the nastiest defenses in the league this season, one that has largely contributed to the team’s 9-2 record on the campaign.
Despite being 9-2, though, Minnesota, due to the bad luck of being in the NFC North, is still just second in the division, trailing the 11-1 Detroit Lions and only a half-game up on the 9-3 Green Bay Packers, who just won on Thanksgiving night. That’s all to say: Minnesota still has plenty of work left to do this season, so it will need to be on its A-game against the Cardinals on Sunday.
Last week, the Vikings narrowly defeated the Chicago Bears 30-27, needing overtime to get the win.
