The Disney Destiny has two specialty walkup coffee shops onboard themed to leading ladies, one of which features Merida from Brave. Café Merida serves coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks.
Café Merida
The coffee shop is located on Deck 5, and in contrast to Café Megara on Deck 4, this specialty coffee shop has a completely different theme.
The color palette throughout the space is mostly red and teal, with wood and metal details. We also noticed a lot of plaid and Celtic patterns throughout the space.
The entrance to the café features a decorative table, possibly looking like something Merida would use to lay out her arrows when practicing her archery skills. It has a black top and legs and is surrounded by a wood edge with black knobs.
The carpet runs in a semi-circle throughout the café, with a red, teal, and gray plaid pattern. The edges are lined in a floral design.
The wall on the left side of the café has a large tapestry-like piece of artwork with Merida riding her horse, Angus. There is a bow above the artwork to match the bow she holds in the painting.
Other artwork around the café features Merida and her family, as well as scenes from the movie.
Large Art Nouveau-style sconce lights are placed throughout the area as well.
The bar matches the entry table, with a black countertop surrounded by a wood edge with black knobs. The face of the bar is a dark teal color with a lattice pattern.
Guests will find charging outlets for devices and hooks for purses and bags.
Behind the bar, the center of the wall features large artwork of Scottish nature, including a forest and cliffs. It has a Celtic border. Surrounding it are various syrups, creams, and more to make the beverages.
The wood pillars on either end of the bar have a wood sign with the café name and other Celtic designs.
The menu for Café Merida includes coffee, tea, juice, wine, cocktails, to-go beverages, and specialty drinks.
