Ohio parking bans and snow emergencies

CLEVELAND (WJW) — When temperatures dip and snow falls, you can be sure multiple jurisdictions are going to issue parking bans and snow emergencies to help with travel safety and city street snow cleanup.
This week, several areas have already made announcements ahead of frigid air expected to hit Monday through Wednesday and snow starting to fall on Sunday.
Here’s a list of what we have so far. FOX 8 News will continue to keep this list updated as more are issued.
PARKING BANS
Beachwood
After a snow fall of more than 2 inches, the city issued a parking ban Sunday, saying no parking is allowed on any streets owned by the city.
Newburgh Heights
The parking ban is in effect now until further notice. In a statement, the city said “residents should move their vehicles from the Village streets to allow the Service Department the opportunity to clear the streets.”
Plain Township
The emergency snow parking ban is in effect through 4 p.m. Monday.
Tallmadge
The city’s snow parking ban runs through 8 a.m. Wednesday. People are advised to move all vehicles from city streets.
