5 Things To Know About ‘PS’ In Los Angeles & Atlanta

Summary PS lounges are only available at LAX and ATL airports
PS lounges provide luxury, speed, and privacy compared to commercial terminals
PS lounges offer private car transfers to the aircraft and are available for arrival and departure.
Airport lounges are an important part of the airport experience for many travelers. Paying for lounge access or receiving it through memberships or elite status benefits gives access to a private space away from the main terminal.
There is no doubt these lounges have increased in popularity over the years, and some lounges are now very crowded. For the ultimate experience, there is an alternative. PS is a private lounge concept that is available at Los Angeles and Atlanta airports. It offers luxurious lounge space, aircraft transfers, and VIP service in a facility away from the main commercial terminals.
Here are five important things to know about the luxury airport experience.
1 PS is only available at two locations in the US
PS lounges are located at Los Angeles International (LAX) and Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) airports.
PS, formerly known as Private Suites, has been operating for several years, firstly at Los Angeles International (LAX) and more recently with a second facility at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) airport..
For now, there are only two of these PS lounges, located at private terminals at:
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

It is no surprise that the facilities are offered at two of the busiest airports in the US – at major hub and transfer locations. Plans have been announced for imminent lounges at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and Miami (MIA) airports. Any more lounges are likely to follow the same pattern of locating at busy hub airports.
Although this is a new concept for the US market and these two airports, private facilities for commercial passengers have been available at some other airports for a long time. Dubai (DXB) and London Heathrow (LHR), for example, both offer this.

2 PS lounges bring the private flying experience to commercial flying
Luxury, convenience, privacy, and speed set it apart from commercial
These lounges are available for anyone flying commercially from Los Angeles and Atlanta. Although they are located in a private terminal, away from the normal commercial terminals, they are available to commercial passengers (with most airlines).
When using PS, you do not need to go anywhere near the main terminal. In both airports, the lounge is located in a separate terminal building, and on arrival, you just head straight to that location. Staff there will assist with airline formalities and luggage handling, and later, you will be transferred straight to the aircraft.

The PS terminals partner with the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) and the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), allowing passengers to undergo security screening and customs clearance at the terminal.

This is very similar to how a private aircraft terminal (or FBO) operates. It provides not only a relaxing and comfortable space to wait but also a private and secure facility and much faster transfer and handling if needed.

4 PS lounges offer a variety of spaces and facilities
These are luxurious and well-equipped spaces, with a focus on privacy
PS lounges differ significantly from a standard airport lounge. They will, of course, be used by much fewer people – generally just a few private parties or individuals. Lounge users will receive personalized attention and escorts from arrival at the facility until transfer to the airport.
The exact facilities offered at each of the two locations will differ slightly, but facilities include:
A general lounge space – known as The Salon
Extensive bar and drinks selection, and food available to order
Private lounge suites, perfect for groups
Washroom and spa facilities
An outdoor grassed area (at LAX) with rest areas and games

5 PS offers a direct chauffeur service to the aircraft
This is one of many ways the service helps to save time
One of the main offerings is a private car transfer from the lounge to the aircraft (or pickup in the case of arrivals or transfers). There is no more walking along long airport halls and corridors to reach boarding gates, or even having to wait at boarding areas.
PS operates a fleet of BMW vehicles offering private transfer from the lounge door to the aircraft. At LAX, there is also a service known as PS Direct, which offers private car transfer straight from the aircraft to your next destination.

6 Lounge access is available on arrival and departure
Prices and memberships are dependent on use
Using a lounge on departure before a flight is the most obvious use, but PS is also available on arrival or when transferring between flights.
On arrival, you are greeted at the aircraft door and then transferred by car to the private terminal locations. Customs and immigration can be handled there if required. You can then use the private lounge area or Salon area to refresh, rest, work, or eat before moving on.

Pricing depends on exact needs and can be obtained by request. Memberships are also available for regular users, which lower prices.
Some guide prices given on the PS website include:
Individual full membership is available at $4,850 per year (or lower for Salon membership at $1,250).
Suite access on departure for up to four people at $3,550 for full members. Without a membership, this price would be $4,850.
Salon shared lounge access starts at $750 per person for full members.
PS Direct onward car transfers start at $750 per person for full members.
