Olympian Gabby Thomas teases more modeling gigs after Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Gabby Thomas is making moves.
The Olympic sprinter spoke to Page Six Style about continuing her modeling venture after being featured in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue.
When asked if fans will be able to see her on any future modeling appearances, Thomas cheekily replied, “I think so!”
“I’m open to a lot of more opportunities like that, and there there might be a few things coming out soon, so we’ll see!” Thomas told us at the Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday at Cipriani South Street in New York York City.

Thomas, 27, appeared alongside other amazing athletes, including Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, golfer Nelly Korda and skier Eileen Gu in the upcoming issue, which hits newsstands early next year.
“That was definitely a new experience for me [and] different from running on the track [and] stepping into a little bit of modeling” she said with a giggle.
She concluded, “I had a lot of fun branching out.”

The track and field athlete skyrocketed to fame in August when she took home a whopping three gold medals in the 200m sprint, 4 x 100m relay and 4 x 400m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“The last six months have truly been a whirlwind,” she told us. “I feel like I’ve been nonstop, but it’s also been such a blessing, and I’m so grateful for all the opportunities that I’ve had and the awards, and it just feels really validating with all the hard work that I put in.”

“They defy stereotypes and champion equality, inspiring young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders,” Day added. “At SI Swimsuit, we’ve always celebrated the future of women, and there’s no better way to honor these remarkable achievements than by featuring them on the pages of our issue.”
Shortly after the magazine announced the initial four athletes, they continued with the theme, releasing photos starring Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles and WNBA star Cameron Brink.
It’s unclear who will make the final covers or who else will snag a spot, since the Swimsuit Issue doesn’t officially drop until the spring.
Thomas attended the event –– which is often referred to as the “Shoe Oscars” –– alongside A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, Martha Stewart, Nicky Hilton, Angel Reese and Brooke Burke, among others.
