With its 61st issue, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit will make a splash with yet another history-making athlete. And now, heptathlete Anna Hall is making her way into the limelight in a way fans have never seen before, joining stars such as Suni Lee and Gabby Thomas. With an impressive on-track career, she has also expanded off-track collaborations with big brands like Adidas and Nulo (a pet nutrition brand).
Over the years, the SI Swimsuit issue has gained massive popularity by bringing stars from various sports fields. Hence, fans always wait and speculate on new additions to the cover. This year, many news faces are given the opportunity to take sports enthusiasts on board. This year’s lineup, filled with new faces and inspiring stories, continues to push boundaries—and Hall is at the forefront of this exciting movement.
Previously, 21-year-old Suni Lee made her debut as an SI swimsuit model after giving an outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics. She was seen in a brown bikini with a ring tattoo on her forearm and hair styled in loose curls for the May 2025 edition. SI swimsuit was officially announced by two-time Olympian Gabby Thomas earlier this November. With 3 gold medals in Paris, Thomas is looking amazing in her model avatar. Both are posing to well-known photographer Ben Horton in Florida. She is seen in a blue square scoop-back one-piece customized by Abbode that reads, “Voting is Hot.” Editor-in-chief MJ Day said, “They defy stereotypes and champion equality, inspiring young girls to envision themselves as both athletes and leaders.”

Coming back to Hall, the Denver native is in Boca Raton, Florida, posing for the biggest off-track moment yet—a photo shoot with Ben Horton for the May 2025 issue. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has officially welcomed her through X, with the quote, “We’re thrilled to welcome Hall to the fold in the 2025 SI Swimsuit Issue as an athlete.” Hall also re-shared the news with her fans and wrote, “Pinch me moment!! honored to be included in such an amazing group of women❤️.”
Not only Hall but her fans are feeling top of the world. A fan commented, “This is literally the best thing ever. I told you forever that you should be a model. I am so excited for you!” The magazine was published in February 1964, but later, the publication shifted to May 2019. SI Swimsuits’ editor-in-chief, MJ Day, said, “This remarkable group, featuring Olympic medalists, world champions, and record holders, embodies the next generation of all-stars poised to transform the world of sports.” With this recent modeling assignment, a heptathlete has a remarkable athletic journey.

Anna Hall is the second-highest-scoring American heptathlete of all time. Her Tokyo Olympics dream was shattered when she injured her ankle during the 2020 U.S. trials for the Olympic Games. While performing 100-meter hurdles, she collided with the eighth barrier and shattered her navicular bone. Hall once said that the injury changed her way of viewing track and field: “The injury was a really big inflection point in my career.” January 2024 was the time when she underwent a small procedure of surgery.
Previously, she bounced back and earned bronze at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. She also shattered the 2023 North American pentathlon with 5,004 points. Hall finished fifth in the 2024 Paris Olympics debut with a total of 6,615 points. She also bagged a silver at the World Championships in 2023 in Budapest.
Hall’s family has been her motivation and is often seen supporting her in events. Her passion came from her father, David Hall, who has played football and basketball and also competed in the decathlon at the University of Michigan.
