Glaser is a prominent name in boxing, often known for his hot takes on Premier Boxing Champions and all the boxers under the promotion’s banner. Originally from Tonawanda, New York, Glaser graduated from Kenmore West High School in 1976 and spent his early years playing high-level hockey.
Following a stint in his family’s automotive business, Glaser made his way into boxing back in 1992 with the help of promoter Mike Acri, his long-time friend and collaborator. “If you can’t promote yourself, you cannot promote anybody else,” Glaser emphasizes, highlighting his belief in self-promotion and knowledge of the sport.
According to his website, Glaser’s unique expertise earned him the title of “professional boxing businessman,” coined by ESPN writer Tim Graham. His website also credits him as a promoter, matchmaker, agent, and advisor. Glaser also seems to fancy himself as “a very forthright, up-front type of guy,” often giving blunt, insightful answers.
