Winter Storm Warnings Now In 22 Minnesota, Wisconsin Counties

On the morning of Monday, November 24, the National Weather Service officially issued a series of 8 Winter Storm Watches, which covered portions of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The timing of the storms looked like they would impact people traveling in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, and at the time, some areas were predicted to get up to a foot of snow.
By Monday night, the National Weather Service had upgraded the majority of those Winter Storm Watches into Winter Storm Warnings, while adding additional warnings. In one area, up to 25 inches of snow is now possible.
The NWS says that travel is not recommended in any areas of impact while the Winter Storm Warnings are in place, but if you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
