Sonoma County Tourism has partnered with an AI company to offer a travel-planning tool for visitors, the tourism agency recently announced.
Sonoma County Tourism’s new AI-travel concierge, called LOU — the acronym for SCT’s “Life Opens Up” brand — helps visitors create a personalized itinerary with the help of a virtual planning assistant. The itineraries can include maps, photos and recommended stops, according to SCT’s Oct. 22 announcement.
SCT last month partnered with Mindtrip, a San Francisco-based AI-powered travel platform founded in 2023, to help further its mission to make travel exploration easier and more accessible for visitors planning to tour Sonoma County, according to the announcement.
Mindtrip states it “scours thousands of data sources” and has the ability to organize everything all in one place.
LOU launched this month and is available on Sonoma County Tourism’s website, according to SCT.
“It’s creative, inclusive and inspired by the talent of our community,” said Frank Filice, vice president of marketing and brand at Sonoma County Tourism. “Technology can simplify planning and open doors to deeper exploration.”
